Overview
Volaeris Engineering offers consulting and software engineering services in the modeling and analysis of mechanical and dynamic systems. These systems can be as simple as a swinging pendulum or as sophisticated as a multi-degree of freedom system such as an airplane, helicopter, bending rotor or beam. In all cases, the dynamics work involves the development of numerical models in a computer simulated invironment. The modeling of the systems can range from a no frills FORTRAN code to a state of the art engineering analysis environment simulated in Matlab and Simulink. Depending on the need and the desired level of sophistication, Volaeris can provide a large palette of alternative solutions to meet your needs as well as your schedule and budget.
Aerospace Vehicle Dynamics
Volaeris Engineering has over a decade of experience in the modeling and simulation of various types of aircraft and related aerospace systems. From large commercial transport aircraft, to the small and simple home-built aircraft. While there is no limit what can be model, Volaeris specialized in the modeling and simulation of rotorcraft like the AH-64 Apache and the UH-60 Blackhawk. Whether your need is related to dynamic performance, stability or training. Volaeris has the capability to provide sophisticated, flexible, and modular models to fold into your simulation architecture.
Topics In Dynamics and Mechanics
The topics and disucssions below are being provided due to multiple requests by my students. While a great deal of effort is made to make sure each chapter topic is complete and consise, the information below is not garaunteed to be 100% bullet proof. The time required to cover each discussion thoroughly and to edit out any errors is well beyond the time alloted for this forum. However, you will find a fairly good discussion under each heading as they are posted and some fairly good examples to illustrate the concepts. If you do find errors, please feel free to let us know so that we may correct them. In addition, if there is a topic you'd like like to see added to the discussion, feel free to let us know and we will try to add it in as soon as practicable.
